DiagnosisDiagnosis: This species is distinguished from M. multicarinata and M. cumingi by the following combination of characters: (1) a small to intermediate-sized Mabuya, snout-vent length for 20 mature specimens 45.6-66.6 mm; and (2) number of scale rows between parietals and base of tail 41-47; from M. multicarinata by (3) number of 4th toe lamellae 18 24 (usually 21-23) (Table 9); and (4) interparietal large, almost always separating the parietals (25 of 28 specimens), its greatest breadth about 3/4 of to equal breadth of the parietals; and from M. cumingi by (5) limbs fairly well developed, length of extended hind limb 88-116% of axilla-groin distance and 44-58% of snout-vent length.
