Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Gehyra pamela, sp. nov., is distinguished from all Australian Gehyra except G, xenopus, G, baliola and G. australis by its large size. It differs from G. xenopus in having a greater number of preanal pores in males, and also lacks the granular scales separating the subapical toepads, which are characteristic of G. xenopus. G. baliola has a characteristic U-shaped rostral scale and a cutaneous skin fold on the edge of each hind limb, which are absent in G.pamela. It is distinguished from G. australis by the greater number of preanal pores in males and a relatively much larger mental scale.
