Diagnosis | Diagnosis (genus). Supranasals absent; last upper labial greatly reduced and repositioned posteriorly! temporal and posterior head shields fragmented; panetais each bordered by 2 upper secondary temporals, single nuchal and internuchal; chinshields 2, second pair and post genials seperated from contact with lo~er labials by row of small lateral chin scales; auricular lobules absent; premaxilliary teeth 6-9; large size (maximum SVL 112 mm). Comment | Type species: Eugongylus haraldmeieri BÖHME 1976 is the type species of the genus Geoscincus SADLIER 1986: 6. Abundance: only known from its original description (Meiri et al. 2017).
