Type locality: Indonesia: Sumatra, 10 km north of Lubuklinggau, 03 120 S, 102 500 E

TypesHolotype: BMNH 1974.4220, collected by Gerald A. Lincoln on June 6, 1973. 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: A member of the genus Gerrhopilus, distinguishable from other members of this genus by the combination of having an inferior preocular and inferior ocular (sub- ocular), overlap of the third supralabial by only the infe- rior preocular, and overlap of the fourth supralabial by both the inferior preocular and inferior ocular (Wynn 2021). 
CommentApparently known only from the holotype. 
EtymologyNamed after the type locality.
