Types | Holotype: SYS r000218, adult male (Fig. 3), collected by Jian-Huan Yang on 18 May 2010 on a tree. Paratypes.—Three specimens, SYS r000216, adult female, collected by J-HY on 16 May 2010 on a limestone rock in the farmland (25812050.00 0N, 107859056.040 0E; 450 m a.s.l.) from Mulun Town, Huanjiang County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. SYS r000217, adult female; SYS r000219 adult male, bearing same data as the holotype, collected by J-HY and Y-YW. |
Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Goniurosaurus liboensis sp. n. can be distinguished from all other congeners by the combination of the following charac- ters: (1) Medium-sized lizards of 103.2–110.3 mm SVL; (2) nuchal loop narrow, six or seven granular scale rows in width, slightly protract- ed posteriorly; (3) eight or nine nasal scales surrounding naris; (4) two or three internasals; (5) granular scales of upper eyelids approxi- mately equal in size to those on top of head; (6) a row of greatly enlarged supraorbital tubercles; (7) axillary pockets deep; (8) 23 precloacal pores in males, in a transverse continuous series; (9) femoral pores absent; (10) claws sheathed by four dorsal scales and two long and curved lateral scales; (11) iris gray, becoming orange near pupil; (12) chin, throat, thorax, and ventral surfaces of body and limbs white, immaculate; and (13) three thin immaculate dorsal body bands between limb insertions, without dark spot, bordered by dark bands anteriorly and posteriorly. |

Etymology | Named after the type locality, Libo County, Guizhou Province, China. liboensis is an adjective that must be grammatical in accordance with the gender of Goniurosaurus. |
