CommentSynonymy: Taylor 1965: 713 lists Gonyosoma jansenii elegans Werner 1925 but there is no such species in the paper cited (Werner 1925, Sitzungsb. Akad. Wiss., Wien, Abt. l, 134: 55-56).

Habitat: partly arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018). 
EtymologyNamed after Albert Jacques Frederic Jansen, an administrator in the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia) who lived on Sulawesi and later became Governor-General of Batavia (now Jakarta) (1848).
