DistributionMexico (Bolson de Mapimi, which borders on SE Chihuahua, SW Coahuila, and NE Durango)

Type locality: "30 to 40 miles north from Lerdo, Durango, Mexico".

Comment 
EtymologyFrom latin flāvus meaning yellow and margō, meaning margins, in reference to the coloration yellow on the margins of their carapace.
