CommentWALLACH et al. 2014: 173 give 1932 as the year of publication although the paper itself is dated “1931”. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin sanguis (“blood”) +‎ -eus, for "of or relating to blood" or "bloody" or "bloodred", a reference to the color of the species.
