CommentSynonymy: WERMUTH 1965: 80 listed this species as a synonym of Hemidactylus mabouia, citing LOVERIDGE 1947: 170.

Types: not in South Africa fide SAMA catalog (Anonymous 1958). 
EtymologyNamed after Father Kenneth Robert Tasman (1890-1968), a Jesuit priest and missionary at Macheke, Mashonaland, Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe).
