Type locality: Dutumi, near Kisaki, Tanzania.

CommentAbundance: Known only from the holotype (BROADLEY & HOWELL 1991) 
EtymologyNamed after the Tanganyika territory, today Tanzania + Latin -icus, of or pertaining to. ["...a female from Duthumi, Morogoro District, Tanganyika Territory…"].
