TypesHolotype: ZMUC-R4359 (reported as lost by Dixon 1973, but present at ZMUC fide M. Scherz, pers. comm., 14 Dec 2021). 
Diagnosis 
CommentSpecimens from Bahia are now considered as a new species, Heterodactylus septentrionalis. 
EtymologyNamed after Peter Wilhelm Lund (1801-1880), Danish zoologist active in Brazil. (Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., April 2024)
