Diagnosis | Diagnosis (genus): Large bodied, smooth scales; nasal scales in contact; 25–33 rows of dorsal scales, subocular scales, divided internasal; first labial does not contact loreal; 2–4 pairs of chin shields, 2–3 supraoculars; 2–3 postoculars; 13–15 upper labials, upper labials behind eye are horizontally divided into three tiers; lower labials 15–20, dorsum uniform brown or gray with red or yellow ventral surface (MURPHY & VORIS 2014).
