DistributionBrazil (Amazonas, Mato Grosso, Pará), S Colombia, Venezuela (KORNACKER 1999), Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, French Guiana, Guyana

Type locality: Pebas, Ecuador. Lectotype locality: upper Amazon drainage, either Pebas, Peru, or eastern Ecuador.
