TypesTypes: BMNH 1946.9.2.60-63 (and possibly additional specimens). 
DiagnosisDiagnosis. “Mit bis zu 400 mm Gesamtlänge (SALVADOR 1974) mittelgroße Lacerta s. str.-Art, die sich durch acht Ventralia-Längsreihen, ein großes, trapezförmiges Occipitale, zwei Postnasalia, ein differenziertes Massetericum sowie durch das Fehlen eines Tympanicums auszeichnet. Charakteristisch für die ungestreifte Eidechse sind weiter eine stark gefleckte Bauchseite der Adulti, Blaukehligkeit (im Gegensatz zu L. viridis nicht das Halsband erreichend) und feinere Schwarzfleckung der Männchen, gröbere Schwarzfleckung der Weibchen und eine Jugendzeichnung mit mehreren Längsreihen heller, oft quer verschmelzender Ozellen an den Flanken.” (SALVADOR 1984)
