CommentArboreal. Has been confused with L. vyneri (e.g. Lloyd et al. 1968). 
EtymologyNamed after Anton Willem Nieuwenhuis (1864-1953), a Dutch explorer and ethnologist who traversed central Borneo with Büttikofer (1893-1894).
