Etymology | Named after Baron Carlo von Erlanger (1872-1904), a German collector who traveled in the Tunisian Sahara (1893 and 1897), Abyssinia (Ethiopia) and Somaliland (1900-1901). He was accompanied for part of the time by O. R. Neumann. |
