CommentGenome: Colston et al. 2025. 
EtymologyNamed after Marquis G. Doria (Genua). L. d. martensi has been named after Prof. E. v. Martens (Berlin).

L. d. scorteccii was named after Prof. Giuseppe Scortecci (1898-1973), Italian herpetologist.
