Diagnosis | Diagnosis: This species is most closely related to A. agrorensis and A. melanura. The jet black colour, number of labials, body and callose scalation suggest that it is neither agrorensis nor melanura or any other species of Agama. [from BAIG 1989]. Diagnosis (auffenbergi). This form is very close to the nominate form in certain characteristics but quite distinguished by being dull dark brown to grey in colour with white transverse bands across the body and having a fewer number of scales around the body [BAIG et al. 2012]. Diagnosis (khani). This form is very close to the nominate form but having fewer scales around the body and a more mosaic-like in colouration [BAIG et al. 2012]. Diagnosis (pakistanica). It is very closely related to L. agrorensis. The jet black colour, larger size (SVL), number of la- bials, flat head scales, and other body and callous sca- lation distinguish it from L. agrorensis [BAIG et al. 2012]. |
