Type locality: Coulomb Point, 17° 21’ S, 122° 09’ E, W. A.

TypesHolotype: WAM R40268 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: Small slender Lerista with digits 4 + 4, eyelid immovable (i.e. a large transparent disc surrounded by an almost complete series of granules). Distinguishable from L. elegans by 18 (rather than 16) midbody scale rows, and frolp. L. distinguenda by nasals forming a median suture; further distinguishable from both of those species by pale back without dark spots or olive tone but anteriorly with a wide faint vertebral stripe. Comment 
EtymologyFrom the Latin verb sepono (to separate) plus the future passive participle suffix -anda, giving the meaning "needing to be separated", with reference to the similar species Lerista elegans. The formation of the name follows the earlier distinguenda. (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024)
