CommentLimb morphology: 1 digits, 2 toes

Type species: Rhodona punctatovittata Günther 1867 is the type species of the genus Furcillus COPE 1892, a synonym of Lerista, fide Shea 2021. 
EtymologyPresumably named after the Latin punctum (a small spot) plus vitta (a stripe), plus the suffix -atus (having the condition of), referring to the spotted and striped coloration. (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024)
