DiagnosisDiagnosis: Very like L. macropisthopus but having 2 fingers, 2 toes and strongly spotted dorsum. 
CommentLimb morphology: 2 digits, 2 toes 
EtymologyFrom the Greek neos (new) plus andros (man), in reference to the type locality, Mt Newman. (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024)
