Comment | Synonymy: Leiolaemus Bellii [sic] GRAY 1845 has been synonymized with Liolaemus bibronii in PETERS & DONOSO-BARROS 1970: 180. MÜLLER and HELLMICH (1933) considered Proctotretus modestus (PHILIPPI 1860) as a synonym of Liolaemus altissimus. Taxonomy: Liolaemus (bellii) neuquensis belongs to the “neuquensis” group of Liolaemus according to CEI & VIDELA 2003. Distribution: in Chile fide Ruiz de Gamboa (2016) but not in Chile fide Pincheira-Donoso, pers. comm., 19 July 2019), although it has been recorded from just across the border to Argentina. |
