Diagnosis 
CommentSome specimens previously referred to L. rothi have been described as new species by ETHERIDGE & CHRISTIE (2003). These authors also redescribed L. rothi. L. rothi also was found to be paraphyletic by AVILA et al. (2006).

Group: member of the Liolaemus rothi complex.

Distribution: not in Chile fide Demangel 2016. 
EtymologyNamed after Santiago Roth, geologist of the Museo La Plata.
