Diagnosis 
CommentBelongs to the wiegmanni group of Liolaemus. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin scapularis, scapular, short cloak, covering for shoulders. [“...deux grandes taches noires arrondies sur l'epaule...”] (from Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., May 2024)
