Distribution	Argentina (Neuquén) Type locality: 2 km SE La Amarga (39° 06’ S, 69° 34’ W), Zapala Department, Neuquén, Argentina.

Diagnosis	Diagnosis. See entry of Liolaemus punmahuida.
Comment	Belongs to the Liolaemus elongatus group (fide ESPINOZA et al. 2000).
Etymology	Named after the aboriginal people living in the area of the type locality.
