CommentBelongs to the wiegmanni group of Liolaemus.

Conservation status: critically endangered 
EtymologyNamed after Bertha Maria Julia Lutz (1894-1976), a zoologist and pioneering feminist who founded the Brazilian Federation for Feminine Progress (1922).
