Comment | Synonymy: This species may be synonymous with L. platei. The description by Philippi 1860 is rather vague and the type locality is rather vague too (D. Pincheira-Donoso, pers. comm. 1 Aug 2014). Known from only two specimens (Pincheira-Donoso, pers. comm, 3 Apr 2017). For a discussion of the status of L. melanopleurus see Troncoso-Palacios & Marambio-Alfaro (2021). Abundance: only known from the type specimen (Meiri et al. 2017). |
