DiagnosisDiagnosis: “Un Liolaemus de tamaño mediano (Flg. 1). distinguido de las formas relacionadas del grupo anomalus y de cualquier otra línea evolutiva de Liolaemus por la siguiente combinación de caracteres: 1) cuerpo rechoncho, con cola corta y de brazos y patas cortas. 2) escamas dorsales sin quillas, redondeadas, suaves y yuxtapuestas. 3) escamas laterales pequeñas y casi cónicas. 4) escamas ventrales subimbricadas, mayores que las dorsales. 5) pliegues humerales y del cuello evidentes. 6) autotomía disminuida o rara, 7) escasos poros preanales blancos, presentes también en las hembras pero no funcionales.” [from CEI & PEFAUR 1982].
