CommentType species: Coronella torquata BOULENGER 1888 is the type species of the genus Parasibynophis LEVITON & MUNSTERMAN 1956 (= Liophidium fide UNDERWOOD 1967: 10). 
EtymologyNamed after Latin torquata = to be adorned with a necklace or collar.
