Type locality: “Forêt d’Anatelo, en bordure du massif calcaire de l’Ankarana (sous-préfecture d’Ambilobe) de la région malgache” [= Anatelo forest, Ambilobe Prefect., NW Antsiranana Province, N Madagascar].

TypesHolotype: MNHN-RA 1982.0444 (male with extruded hemipenes); Collected by: Yves Therezien. Collection Date: February 14, 1966. Paratype: (n=1) MNHN 1978.1425, male, captured in January 1969 by Roland ALBIGNAC, professor at the University of Madagascar.

EtymologyNamed after Yves Therezien, an expert on freshwater algae and a hydrobiologist at Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris, where Brygoo and Domergue were his colleagues.
