Diagnosis | Diagnosis: A pale member of the E. whitei superspecies' with .very little pattern,. narrrow snout, long appendages, and strongly callose subdigital lamellae. Distinguished from E..m. margaretae by paler coloration and longer limbs. Chapple et al. 2005 also showed that personata is paraphyletic with margaretae and thus suggested to separate it. |
Comment | This species exhibit colour pattern polymorphism (Chapple et al. 2008). |
Etymology | Presumably named after the Latin personatus (masked), in reference to the facial pattern. (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024) |
