Type locality: Alice Springs, in 23° 46’ S, 133° 53’ E, N. T.

Diagnosis 
CommentObligate burrowing.

Diet: a large percentage of the diet of this species (30-50%) consists of ants (Lucas et al. 2023). 
EtymologyNamed after Kenneth R. Slater (1923-1999), a zoologist and herpetologist.
