Types | Holotype: USNM 5685 (Listed as the holotype of Hombronia fasciolaris Girard, 1858, by Cochran 1961) (also according to the Remarks in original ledger entry). Zug (1985:151) questions the type status of this specimen and suggests that this specimen might in fact be the holotype of Lipinia vulcania Girard, 1858).
