Type locality: Lungib Ginbagsangan, 12°00’00” N, 124°55’40” E, about 32 km by air NNE of Catbalogan, 40 m elevation [Barrio Kag-toto-Og, Provincia Samara Occidnetal (= western Samar Province)], Samar Island, CE Philippines.

TypesHolotype: MZUF 36690, Museo Zoologica Unviversità Firenze. Named after Cédric Ferron, the collector of the holotype.

EtymologyNamed after Cedric Ferron, a French speleologist who collected the snake holotype while on a caving expedition to Samar, Philippines.
