Types | Holotype: PNM 2044, a juvenile female; captured 21 May 1989 by R. I. Crombie and H. Ota. Paratypes. USNM 319283-319285, a juvenile male and two juvenile females from Mambit, alt. 5 m; captured 19 May 1989; CAS 188163, a juvenile female, and USNM 319286, a juvenile male, both from the same locality as holotype; captured 19 and 22 May 1989, respectively. All captured by H. Ota and R. I. Crombie. |
Diagnosis | Diagnosis. This species is distinct from other Lycodon in having the upper preocular larger than the lower one, 204-212 ventral scales, and 22-25 and 16-21 transverse light bands on body and tail, respectively (Ota & Ross 1994).
