CommentCinchona plants are the trees from which quinine is isolated, the drug against malaria.

Synonymy: WALL (1911) thought that Lycodon gammiei is an aberrant Lycodon fasciatus and thus the latter being a junior synonym of the L. gammiei. 
Etymologynamed after the collector of the type specimens, J.A. Gammie.
