Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Only one apical pit. Snout shorter than the parietals. Postnasal in contact with both 1st and 2nd labials. Scale rows 17-17-17. Ventrals: 180 (males), 194 (females). Subcaudals: 31 (males), 23 (females). Brownish, each individual scale with a large white apical spot; a very broad white band around the snout and on the temporal region [from LAURENT 1968].
