Etymology | Apparently after the collector of the type, F.J. Jackson (Esq.) L. j. occidentale was named after Latin occidentāle (neuter singular of occidentālis, "western, westerly"). It is a reference to its most geographical location Western Central Africa for all species and subspecies of the capense group. |
