Diagnosis | Diagnosis: The species differs from its congeners by the combination of the following characters: SVL 76– 112 mm, equal to TaL; TrunkL 3.4–4.2 times longer than SFlL; lower eyelid scaly; supranasals in contact; frontal as long as frontoparietal; frontoparietal single; nuchals absent; external ear opening with a small lobule; supralabials 7; dorsal scales smooth (see Fig. 9A); scale rows around midbody 30; paravertebral scales 107–115; ventral scales 112–123; limbs very short (SVL/FlL: about 20; SVL/HlL: about 13); subdigital lamellae under fourth toe 6–7 (Smith 1937b; pers. observ.) (Geissler et al. 2011). |
