EtymologyNamed after Latin annecto, to tie to, bind to, fasten on, attach, annex. [“...It is not referable either to Macropholidus or Phogidobolus as at present defined, but combines the characters of the two...”]. (from Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., May 2024)
