Type locality: “Anuling Mt. (150 m elevation), Caramoan Municipality, Camarines Sur, Luzon Island, Philippines.”

Diagnosis 
CommentTyphlops collaris has a collar of unpigmented scales behind the head and a high number (> 400) of middorsal scale rows. 
EtymologyThe species is named after the Latin word collaris meaning collar (Lemos-Espinal & Dixon 2013).
