Distribution	Venezuela (lowlands of the Maracaibo lake basin, Zulia), NE Colombia (Magdalena) Type locality: Rio Escalante (09°03′08″N, 71°55′23″W), southwest lake Maracaibo, sector el Cañon, Zulia state, Venezuela.
Reproduction
Types	Holotype: MHNLS 16647. An unsexed adult specimen, collected in October 2003 by E. Arrieta.
Diagnosis	Diagnosis: Miralles et al. 2009.
Comment
Etymology	named after the type locality in Zulia state in Venezuela.
