DiagnosisDiagnosis (persicus): Two pairs of postmentals; dark transverse bars of body narrow, less than halfwidth of interspaces, and with distinct light margins; tail bars narrower than interspaces (Anderson 1999: 195). 
CommentDistribution: See map in SMID et al. 2014 and GHOLAMIFARD et al 2019: 436 (Fig. 1) for distribution in Iran. 
EtymologyNamed after its distribution in Persia (now: Iran).
