CommentDistribution (debilis): Not listed in TRAPE & MANÉ 2006. Records from Mauritania are questionable (fide PADIAL, pers. comm.). Not in Benin fide ULLENBRUCH et al. 2010. Not listed for Togo by Segniagbeto et al. 2012. Not in Liberia fide Senter & Chippaux 2022.

Synonymy: Glauconia debilis CHABANAUD 1918: 111 has been synonymized with Leptotyphlops narirostris boueti by HAHN & WALLACH 1998. 
EtymologyNamed after Dr. Georges Bouet (1869-1957), a physician and ornithologist who worked in Madagascar (1900-1904) and in French West Africa (1906-1930).
