Reproduction 
TypesHolotype. BYU 7540, adult male, collected on 4 November 1944 by Ernest Reimschiissel (Figure 11). Paratypes. BYU 7331, unsexed juvenile, Morotai [2.3218° 128.4572°], collected on 4 November 1944 by Ernest Reimschiissel. Both specimens were given to the BYU collections with no further collecting data other than island of origin. 
Diagnosis 
CommentDistribution: see map in Zug 2020: 39 (Fig. 12).

Presently known only from the two specimens collected in 1944 by a U.S. solider on active duty. 
EtymologyThe specific name arceo is Latin for “prevent access to” or “guard.” It is proposed to honor the women and men of the World War II Allied forces who fought and freed New Guinea and the Lesser Sundas from tyranny. It is proposed as a noun in apposition.
