Distribution	Akiaki, Tuamotu Archipelago, Fiji Islands, Rotuma, Western Samoa, Solomon Islands [Nactus multicarinatus; McCoy 2000], Toga, Loh, Linua, Tegua, Hiu Islands, Vanuatu. Type locality: Aneiteum Island (New Hebrides), Tongatabu Island.

Comment	Listed as synonym of Gymnodactylus pelagicus pelagicus by WERMUTH 1965: 64 (fide BOULENGER 1885). Distribution: not corrected for removal from synonymy. Not listed by BAUER & VINDUM (1990) for New Caledonia.
