Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Distinguished from other members of the group by its combination of high middorsal (308-353) and subcaudal (24-41) scale counts, subtriangular cloacal shield, 10 scale rows on the tail, very slender build (total length/ diameter ratio 69-111; total length/tail length ratio 9.3-18.8) and uniform black colouration. An anterior supralabial is present and the posterior supralabial reaches the level of the eye. Snout rounded. Skull with a wide parietal foramen flanked by partially ossified zones.
