Type locality: Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand.  
TypesHolotype: NMNZ (Dominion Museum) R 238, male 
CommentNaultinus manukanus apparently forms a cline with populations of N. rudis.

Thus, this may be a case of "speciation in progress".
