Diagnosis | Diagnosis (genus): Head shields' normal; nostril pierced between 2 or 3 nasals and well separated from upper labials. Lower eyelid scaly, opaque. Collar well marked.Dorsal scales small, smooth, juxtaposed. Ventral plates smooth, feebly imbricate: Digits more or less cylindrical, not serrated laterally; subdigital lamellae smooth. Femoral pores present, Tall long and cylindrical. Terrestrial (Fitzsimons 1943: 311). |
Comment | Synonymy: mostly after FITZSIMONS 1943 Type species: Lacerta lalandii MILNE-EDWARDS 1829 is the type species of the genus Nucras GRAY 1838. See Baptista et al. 2020 for morphometric, meristic, coloration and habitat data. |
