Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy: considered as synonym of Oedura tryoni by Cogger 1957, which was followed by Wermuth 1965 and others. 
Etymologynamed after François Louis de la Porte (1810-1880), comte de Castelnau, a French naturalist who was born in London. See Bastos & Sa 2011 for further biographical details.
